Brown Mackie College
Brown Mackie College was founded in 1892 and began as a single school known as the Kansas Wesleyan School of Business. Today Brown Mackie College has 22 locations throughout the United States and serves just under 12,000 students. Brown Mackie offers several degrees in eight different areas including their creative programs, which emphasize specific fields of knowledge such as mass communication, advertising, graphic design, audio/video production, and architectural design.
The admissions process at Brown Mackie requires students to gather documentation concerning high school or GED completion, college credits from other institutions, extracurricular activities, career and educational goals, as well as transcripts. Admissions representatives are available to assist students during the admissions application process. The 22 campus locations are spread across 11 states including Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Ohio, Oklahoma, and South Carolina.
Student educational advising, financial aid counseling, and career planning services are all offered to students. The curriculum for all Brown Mackie programs is centered on a one-month long course that allows students to concentrate on one subject at a time before moving to the next course.
Each Brown Mackie College location is licensed by the state in which it resides. They are fully authorized to grant bachelor's degrees, associate's degrees, diplomas, and certificates to students who successfully complete their programs of study. All locations are accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS). ACICS is a nationally recognized accreditation body by the U.S. Department of Education.
Each campus location offers educational and extra-curricular learning opportunities for its students to participate in.
