Visual effects and digital video: Creative fusion. Visual Effects and Digital Video bring together different media, artistic and technological forces to create promotional and design elements found in film, television, and on the Internet. Students will learn to develop title sequences for .lm and television, movie trailers, television graphics and network identifiers. Students will develop an ability to tell a story with words, images and motion, and will learn to effectively communicate a concept. Hardware, special effects software, animation techniques and a creative flair all become one in the world of Visual Effects and Digital Video. The Visual Effects & Digital Video program prepares graduates for a variety of career options. Some of these careers are listed below. Production Artist: Assists design teams in graphic production for collateral, packaging, display, and advertising projects. Designer: Develops the images used in a variety of creative projects, including presentations, titles, advertisements, and on-screen graphics. Visual Effects Specialist: Combine many types of media to create captivating design for video and interactive communications. Broadcast Designer: Designs and produces the images used in a video broadcasts. Digital Artist: Creates and modifies print and web images, including photographs, using software tools. Camera Operator: Use television, video, or motion picture cameras to shoot a wide range of material, including television programs, events, music videos, motion pictures, and training sessions.
