BFA Digital Media Design Digital Media Design students concentrate on the design requirements of non-print media such as web design, digital video and computer animation. Students benefit by learning from professional animators, digital video editors and web designers that comprise the Digital Media Design faculty. The location of the college in the Washington DC area, places students in close proximity to many new media companies and news organizations which afford wonderful opportunities to students who wish to pursue a career in the field of digital media design upon graduation. As a student in the Digital Media Design program, you will become skilled at 3D modeling, image manipulation and video editing for multimedia, as well as website design, production and maintenance. The culmination of the major is the senior thesis show which takes place in the Corcoran Gallery of Art. The Corcoran is an innovative leader in visual arts education. Our renowned faculty includes some of the most active, cutting-edge artists, designers and photographers in the country. The College emphasizes a conservatory approach to education, which means classes are small, professors are accessible and classmates know one another.
