Digital Media & Web Development Labs Butler's Digital Media/Web Development labs use current versions of Adobe, Macromedia and Apple software. Students in Flash, ActionScript and Dreamweaver courses learn using Macromedia Studio 8; Multimedia Authoring Tools students employ Macromedia Director MX 2004; and those in Video Editing use Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0, After Effects and Final Cut Pro Studio for their movie editing. Students in the Digital Media lab experience learning using new iMacs with Intel core processors. These excellent machines are dual platform and can employ either the Mac or PC operating systems. The Web Development labs are equipped with Windows-platform PCs. Both labs are limited to a maximum of 14 students. Digital Media Your Butler experience will prepare you to use HTML, digital audio and video tools, image editors, and other authoring tools to design, edit, and publish documents, images, graphics, sound, animations, video and multimedia products on the World Wide Web. Digital Media Specialist Associate in Applied Science 15 credit hours of General Education Requirements A total of 63 credit hours is required for this degree. In addition to the 15 credit hours of general education requirements and 45 credit hours of required digital media courses, you should choose 6 credit hours from the list of related digital media electives.
