Montgomery College
There are two tracks leading to the A.A.S. in graphic design; graphic design and illustration. In addition, two certificate curricula are offered: (1) computer graphics: art and animation and (2) graphic design with digital tools. Appropriate courses may be used toward development of marketable skills, for vocational interests, or for possible transfer. A student interested in any of the A.A.S. or certificate curricula should consult an academic adviser in the Communication Arts Technologies Department. Computer Graphics: Art and Animation This certificate curriculum emphasizes the aesthetic knowledge and technical skills necessary to produce effective computer graphics and animation. Upon completing the curriculum, students may enter the commercial job market, apply this certificate toward a degree in computer graphics at another institution, or advance with their artistic careers. Computer Graphic Artist This sequence of courses prepares an individual to work as a computer graphic artist. These skills are useful when artwork is being prepared for publication in print, Web, or multimedia. Certificate Requirement - 9 Credits
