ECPI College of Technology
ECPI College of Technology offers degrees in high demand fields that can be completed in class or online. ECPI is a fully accredited institution and each location is accredited by the governing accreditation body. Each program is also accredited by industry accreditation organizations. Areas of study include technology, business, health sciences, and culinary. ECPI College of Technology offers 14 bachelor's degrees and 21 associate's degrees/diplomas.
ECPI offers a web development bachelor's and associate's degree. This degree is available on five different ECPI campuses including the Virginia Beach, Richmond, Innsbrook, Raleigh, and Greenville locations. The web development degree is career focused and hands-on. Students learn the material in an interactive setting through a variety of modalities that help them carry the information that they learn from the classroom to the job site. The bachelor's degree in web development can be earned in as little as 2.5 years. Students learn the essential skills of web page and website design, graphic design, digital media production and publishing, database design and scripting, programming, and web client and server scripting.
Graduates of the program are prepared to be placed in entry-level jobs within the information technology industry. Some fields that graduates typically go into are graphic design, web design, web development, digital media, and computer graphics and animation. Students also learn the importance of critical thinking, teamwork, communication skills, and project management.
ECPI College of Technology also offers students several services outside of the classroom to help them succeed. Their career services professionals work with students before and after graduation to assist them with procuring an externship and eventually a career. Career services staff maintain relationships with employers to determine hiring needs and to place ECPI students within the employerâs firm. ECPI career services staff assist students with job fair opportunities, externships, resume writing, interviewing skills, salary negotiating skills, alumni networking, federal work study jobs, and more.
