Los Angeles Trade Technical College
The Fashion Center at Los Angeles Trade-Technical College opens doors to careers in all phases of the apparel industry for any participating student. Our Merchandising department is unique because our instructors are experienced in manufacturing and retail. An overview of the GT Jr. Sportswear apparel industry from both perspectives is offered to the students, and the classes' schedules are tailored to fit the needs of all perspective students. Industry professionals looking to enhance current skills, or learn new skills, will be pleased with the wide variety of evening and Saturday classes offered.
Fashion Design
To receive a Certificate of Completion in Fashion Design students must take 46 full-time credits in fashion credits. Students may opt for an Associate in Arts Degree (A.A.) in Fashion Design by adding 18 credits in academic courses.
Fashion Design-Evening & Saturday Program
The Fashion Center offers classes to accommodate busy schedules. Wide ranges of times are available for our program, which includes evening and Saturday classes. Fashion Merchandising provides you with the option to earn either a Certificate of Completion in Fashion Merchandising by taking 44-45 units required or students can earn a Fashion Merchandising-Associate in Science Degree (A.S.) by taking 18 additional units of academic courses.
In the Fashion Promotion and Retail Fashion Management programs, Skills Certificates are available to those who are interested.
