Fashion Design - Computer-Aided The Fashion Design:
The computer-aided certificate facilitates building basic skills and equips the students with intermediate technical and technological skills in fashion design and pattern making. With such a diversified skill foundation, which includes CAD technology, students will be better prepared for post entry-level positions and/or advancement to fresh opportunities in the career path upon completion.
Fashion Design - Level I:
The Fashion Design Level I Certificate introduces the students to the employment opportunities available in both fashion design and costume design. After completing the course on Fashion Design Level I Certificate, students are adequately qualified for an entry-level positions in design and pattern making in the diverse apparel industry in Southern California, as also the entertainment industry that support a large number of employees and contribute significantly to the economy of the region.
Fashion Design - Level II:
The Fashion Design Level II Certificate builds upon the Level I Certificate to provide students with intermediate skills in relation to the fashion industry. By obtaining such skills, the students will be presented with the opportunity to advance their Fashion Design careers. Students will have the opportunity to gain an understanding of such topics as historic costume research while learning the basics of textile attributes and characteristics as well. Students will be able to examine other categories and classifications of clothing, as well as research and plan designs for diverse target markets within the industry. Professional portfolios strengthen career perspectives and are required to be prepared by the students. Students who have completed the Fashion Design Level II Certificate will have a strong foundation in fashion, which will lead to new career opportunities.
Fashion Merchandising - Level I:
The student holding The Fashion Merchandising Level I Certificate is prepared for entry-level positions in a variety of retail merchandising, manufacturing, and promotion businesses.
Fashion Merchandising - Level II:
The Fashion Merchandising Level II Certificate is designed to build upon the Fashion Merchandising - Level I Certificate to equip the student with proven business and management tools that will enhance practical understanding of merchandising and marketing. Students will learn about merchandising and management through projects and visual display simulations.
