Palomar College
One of the largest industries in California is the fashion industry. To obtain the necessary background for a career in California or anywhere else in the United States, an education in fashion design is required. The needs of this dynamic, exciting, and expansive industry are met by the education provided by Palomar's Fashion Program.
Palomar's Fashion Program students may choose to obtain Certificates in:
- Fashion Merchandising
- Fashion Design
Some students opt to obtain an Associate of Arts. These degrees could lead to transferring to a traditional four-year college to complete a Bachelor's Degree.
In the Fashion program, an environment, which prioritizes critical thinking, creativity, multicultural awareness, sensitivity to various learning styles as well as an understanding of social, organizational, and technological systems, is realized. The program's goal is to identify and react to the educational needs of the community and industry. The program also promises to provide students requiring nontraditional course scheduling with educational opportunities and program delivery systems. We strive to help develop our programs so that they will meet the needs of emerging trends, and technological advances in the field of fashion as well.
