Fashion Design

If you have what it takes to live in an ever changing, fast-paced and highly competitive career, then the Fashion Design industry is for you. The ability to understand and adapt to changes and successful designers require challenges in the fashion industry. Being able to present ideas visually and produce these ideas are two essential skills for designers. The Associate of Arts in Fashion Design degree program helps students gain these abilities.

This program is designed to instill the skills that employers in the design industry are looking for, and implements a strong foundation of design, illustration, computer skills, and presentation abilities. Hands-on experience can be achieved by students in clothing construction, pattern making, draping and specialty design. Furthermore, they can also have visual presentation and create storyboards through computer and from illustrations. The inclusion of computer graphics in the curriculum helps in competitions as computer is being used as a mode for textile design, fashion illustration, graphic layouts, spreadsheets and flats and specifications.
