Harper provides a wide variety of educational options to enable you to enhance your career opportunities. One option provided is the AAS in Fashion Design.

Associate in Applied Science Degree, Fashion Design:

This degree program includes 67 credit hours all of which are intended to prepare students for a career in any of the following: apparel design, pattern making, draping, illustrating, and designer tailoring.

Fashion Merchandising:

A 66 credit hour course covering every stage of fashion marketing, including both the commercial and the artistic and creative sides, namely designing window displays, the essentials of fashion, and textiles. In this course, students will learn about the history of fashion, its trends, and the impact that these trends have historically had on society. Students will also survey the development of style, which leads up to contemporary design. Background courses will be required in diverse and exciting subjects such as English composition, computer information systems, sociology, and introductory psychology, as part of a comprehensive educational syllabus.

Students can also earn a Fashion Design Certificate at Harper.
