Berkeley College, a co-educational institution established in 1931, specializes in Business programs.
The Berkeley Way:
Berkeley pulls its strength from the combination of three key factors; academic preparation, professional training, and practical experience. The College has grown into a premier educational institution for careers in business.
The commitment to excellence is the primary objective at Berkeley College. To reach achievement in this objective, Berkeley makes available to its students:
- The development of analytical and creative skills
- Small classes for one-on-one attention
- Advice and counseling offered individually
Berkeley believes that teaching should include both a conceptual and practical perspective. The faculty is chosen for both their academic credentials and professional experience. Their background in business adds an additional intellectual reality to the classroom, thereby creating a challenging and stimulating classroom setting.
One of Berkeley's greatest strengths are their strong ties to the business world, which have been developed and strengthened over the past 75 + years. In addition to Berkeley's esteemed reputation, this relationship attracts a broad variety of employers.
The business experts at Berkeley help design the College's programs to make sure that the skills students learn are those, which are in demand today. Formal internships are included in the College's degree program that provide enrollees with a web of business connections and irreplaceable work experience toward their career goal of the future and assist in paying for their college expenses.
Each student works with the financial aid advisors to create a personalized aid plan. Loans, scholarships, grants and other awards are available as funds for educational expenses. Federal Pell Grants, Federal Supplemental Grants, and/or New York TAP or New Jersey TAG grants are some of the federal and state grants that Berkeley students are eligible for. Any grants received are not to be repaid. The Federal Family Educational Loan Program makes available several low-interest loan programs, which students and their parents can access.
For assisting students based on their merit or requirement, Berkeley allots about seventeen million dollars yearly for them. Many other institutional grants, scholarships, and loans are available, but matching grants from Berkeley are also available to private scholarship recipients.
Tradition of Excellence:
It continues to build on its tradition of excellence, as Berkeley College plans for the future and responds to the ever-changing job market. The intimacy and scholarly authority of a small liberal arts college combined with high-quality educational programs designed specifically for those interested in a career in business, the College's focus on business, superior faculty, specialized services, and individualized guidance gives students the best of both worlds.
