Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) Fashion Design:
Cazenovia College takes pride in preparing their Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) candidates technically, creatively, and intellectually for work in the fashion industry so that they will acquire the skills to create design ideas, make the garments, and develop their own fashion lines.
Bachelor of Professional Studies (BPS):
Students who major in Bachelor of Professional Studies (BPS) Degree in Fashion Merchandising learn the business requirements of coordination of the design, production and retail functions in the manufacturing sector of the fashion industry, and the promotion and sale of fashions in the retail sector. To prepare students for both a liberal arts education and career oriented classes in art, fashion, and business, the curriculum for both degrees includes all-college general education courses and fine arts courses. Students are ready for starting jobs in design and merchandising with courses, internships, and trips to the New York City garment district.

Fashion Studies Program:
Students in the Fashion Studies Program at Cazenovia College enjoy the unique opportunities offered by the Fashion Studies Department to explore the many facets of the fashion industry in New York City, along with all the advantages of small-town life.
Fashion Tour Class:
Students prepare for internships and are given an overview of the fashion industry in the week-long Fashion Tour in New York City which is held every January. Management personnel at showrooms, design rooms, retailers, museums, and industry associations offer seminars where students take advantage of a firsthand look at the fashion industry. Students will learn about sources for fabrics and trims by touring the famous garment district.
Internship Program:
You will need to complete a six-credit internship in a fashion design or fashion merchandising placement course if you are an internship student. The Cazenovia College Career Services and Internship Programs Office, as well as members of the Fashion Studies faculty and graduates of the program, help to place interns locally, in the New York City area, and beyond.
