The Fashion Merchandising Management program provides the skills needed to succeed in the fast-paced ever-changing industry. Careers in fashion in which may become obtainable to graduates include:

By using library periodicals for an up-to-date outlook on the field, you will produce radio and television commercials in the College's studios, develop web pages and create fashion portfolio.

Excursion trips by the class to New York and Toronto strengthen the creative ability to approach the act of fashion buying and merchandising thus improving the ability to locate fashion vogue or style. Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA) events, such as organizing visits to designer showrooms and buyers' offices, as well as organizing speeches from guest speakers on campus, benefit students. First-hand experiences in fashion-related assignments, taking place in well-known fashion centers, are one of many opportunities available.

The program's articulation includes the Fashion Institute of Technology, in New York City, the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in California, the Laboratory Institute of Technology in New York City, and Buffalo State College.
