College Of Dupage

Our Fashion Program at the College of DuPage offers two degree options and three certificates.

Fashion Degree:

Once you have completed the Fashion Degree requirements, you are adequately prepared to work as a designer, pattern or sample maker, seamstress, alterations expert or in theater costumes.

Fashion Merchandising Degree:

Choosing the Fashion Merchandising degree option will enable you to function competently in a wide range of sales and management positions, including manufacturer representatives, buyers, department store managers, visual display specialists and fashion coordinators.

Fashion Design Certificate:

Students who are interested only in the technical aspects of the fashion field, or have previously completed a college degree, should consider the Fashion Design certificate, which concentrates on technical fashion courses.

Fashion Merchandising Certificate:

You could be a manufacturer's representative by completing your Fashion Merchandising certificate requirements or a visual merchandiser as well as a showroom salesperson as your studies prepare you for these positions.

Fashion Entrepreneurial Certificate:

Opportunities continue to grow for those obtaining an associate's degree, while a bachelor's degree in a related field such as fine arts or business can still be beneficial.
