The Communications Media Department at Fitchburg State College, in conjunction with the Liberal Arts and Sciences Program, stimulates students to develop critical skills necessary in a society hungry for knowledge and new technology.
The Communications Media concentration encourages students to engage in creative thought processes and to develop themselves artistically. The curriculum strikes a balance between design and production, urging students to delve into the design field through courses like Computer Graphic Design, Motion Graphic Design, Interface Design, Publication Design, Typography and Illustration. In the state-of-the-art Macintosh lab, students not only refine their skills but get a competitive advantage for future jobs.
