Herzing has concentrated on teaching business and computer topics since the mid-60's. Herzing has expanded to eleven campuses in North America, including six in the United States, five in Canada, and a new Online Division, herzingonline.com. Herzing has adopted a diversification of programs to include business managements, electronics, health care, design, and public safety while expanding its campuses. At all the US campuses, Herzing raised the level of credentials to bachelors of science degrees and associates of science degrees from diplomas. Herzing College, with executives who are leaders in their own industries, is well-known across the U.S. for its community programs.

Providing a diverse student body with the means to meet the needs of employers in technology, business, health care, design, and public safety by providing quality higher education programs and degrees. Although highly focused on career enhancing skills, the degree programs also include classes on general subjects; this broad scope of education will build a foundation for students to attain personal growth and further their career possibilities.

An integrated approach is adopted by the degree program in Graphic Design giving students knowledge about academics and technical know how necessary for various positions in applying modern graphic arts. Providing students with an introduction to game designing and producing work for print, the Web, television, cinema, multimedia, and digital entertainment using a variety of techniques is what the curriculum is focused on.
