The Graphic Design program at Northern Kentucky University prepares students to visually communicate ideas through design. In order to graduate, students must progress through four stages.

  • The initial stage includes university and department required core courses.
  • The secondary stage involves introductory design courses including design theory and typography.
  • The third state includes intermediate graphic design courses focusing on improving technique and expanding creative vision.
  • The final stage includes advanced graphics courses and a variety of design projects that will comprise the student's graduating portfolio.
