Associate of Science
To provide students with the knowledge necessary to enter entry-level positions in the fields of advertising, publishing and communications, technical and aesthetic skills are taught as part of the Associate of Science in Graphic Design program. The students acquire skills in illustration, graphic design, desktop publishing, designing with type, production, and photography through hands-on experience.
Students completing the Associate of Science in Graphic Design degree program possess the skills necessary for entry-level employment as assistant designers, graphic designers, production artists and/or layout artists. After completing the Associate of Science degree, students may move right into the Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design program.
Bachelor of Science
The Graphic Design degree program includes a broad introduction to general education, with advanced application of graphic design theory, as well as practical and functional training. Imagine you are already working in the graphic design field but want to move ahead into a managerial position or become a creative director - if you'd like this, then this program is for you. The curriculum incorporates both traditional and computer-based techniques. There will be a focus on developing technical skills, reasoning, analytical and problem solving abilities.
