Interior design students at Los Angeles Mission College learn how to use various components such as lighting or fabric to create a cohesive design plan. They may be planning on launching a new career looking to gain skills that will help them to redesign their homes or businesses. Or they may seek a degree or certificate that can open the door to a new career. A variety of choices are available: Interior Designer, Flooring Specialist, Wallpaper Specialist, Faux Finish Artist, Kitchen and Bath Specialist, Textile Designer, Home Accessory Advisor, Window Treatment Specialist, Illustrator, Space Planner, Furniture Designer, Historical Furniture Specialist, Curator/Museum, Set Designer, and Interior Photographer. Qualified, working professionals teach all courses, and a variety of programs (both an Associate's Degree and a number of certificates are offered) and schedules are offered to meet students' goals and needs.
