Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design

The curriculum at Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design's Interior Design program consists of foundations courses, liberal studies, and interior design courses so that students understand the processes of research and analysis that inform design theory and problem solving strategies. Their coursework trains them to become highly-qualified design professionals who shape and function and quality of interiors. The approach that students take is multi-faceted and skills-based. It includes space planning, programming, interior construction, and structural analysis, and takes into account the goals of the Council for Interior Design Accreditation, which are to improve the quality of life, increase productivity and protect the health, safety, and welfare of the public. The core program offers an introduction to Green Design theory, and those who wish to may seek an advanced specialization in Green Design. Additionally, the campus has a chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers, which allows students to build industry networks and be aware of industry trends and events through mailings and publications.
