Florida International University's interior design department offers students a unique opportunity: an affordable interior design program that takes advantage of the diverse community of South Florida and the comprehensive interdisciplinary atmosphere of the School of Architecture. FIU students learn to think critically about the role of the interior designer in various cultural, social, aesthetic and technological contexts, and to work towards creative design solutions for numerous settings. The Council of Interior Design Accreditation has accredited the interior design program at FIU. Florida-based interior designers must hold a license from an accredited institution.
