Ringling School of Art and Design
Ringling College of Art and Design Interior Design majors recognize the limitless possibilities of an vacant space. During the studies at Ringling, they embark on a satisfying, creative process in which they transform empty spaces into a functional, aesthetically-pleasing environments through the careful use of form, light, texture and color. This process requires talent as well as technical skills, so students learn to use the most up-to-date versions of AutoCAD and other visualization software to take their ideas from imagination to reality. Part of the process is the study and redesign of existing spaces. The program has a student chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers [ASID] and is FIDER-accredited, two pluses for graduates as they enter the dynamic, competitive interior design industry.
