Ivy Tech Community College-Northcentral
Ivy Tech Community College's offers a program in Environmental Design that trains students to design interior and exterior environments that are safe, functional and pleasing to the eye. Students delve into a variety of topics, such as design conception and problem solving, how human beings interact with their surroundings, specification of materials, and project management, among others. The capstone is the creation of an exit portfolio and résumé that showcase a student's skills and knowledge in a specialized concentration area. Students can pursue an AS or an AAS degree in a variety of areas: Decorative Arts and Design Specialty, Garden Design Specialty, or Interior Design Specialty. Students can transfer into four-year programs at Ball State University, Bethel College, Ferris State University, Indiana State University, and other universities with either degree.
