Ivy Tech Community College-Southwest
Ivy Tech Community College's Environmental Design program with a specialization in Interior Design emphasizes the required skills to become a successful interior design. The applied science degree consists of a traditional and digital portfolio as well as 66 credit hours in the following areas: residential and commercial design; color theory, design theory, and design history; drafting and presentation drawing; computer aided design; and business skills. Students go on to work in the following positions: interior designer; display designer; kitchen and bath designer; residential designer; and specialty designer. Transfer options are available for Indiana State University, University of Southern Indiana, Franklin University and other colleges.
