Hawkeye Community College
Hawkeye Community College's interior design program trains students for careers working with clients in the design of residential and commercial spaces. Students take advantage of a low student-to-faculty ratio and the assurance of working with an advisory committee of professional interior designers. Instructor bring their design experience and background to the classroom through demonstrations, hands-on applications and lectures. Students solidify their knowledge in a professional internship. Training areas include: technical drawing, rendering, and CAD; residential and contract design; design, color and materials; art and design history; and interior design as a profession. The program is flexible; although it begins in the fall, the possibilities for a spring start or part-time study are available.
