Endicott College
Endicott College's School of Art and Design offers programs that bring together theory, practice and history in order for students to stay current in the ever-changing field of the visual arts. Endicott's four-year Bachelor of Science in Interior Design, fully accredited by the Council for Interior Design Accreditation (formerly FIDER), trains students to become professional interior designers who produce interior architectural environments and who later will be able to sit for the National Council Interior Design Qualification examination. The comprehensive curriculum integrates traditional and digital media and consists of institutional, residential and commercial design courses, as well as historic preservation, the history of interior design, computer-aided design and drafting, drawing, rendering, drafting, materials, furniture, construction technology, color, lighting, detailing, and business practices. Three professional internships are central to successful completion of the program. All students participate in a Laptop Program and have the opportunity to take part in Career Day seminars led by design professionals and to become student members of professional design organizations like the American Society of Interior Designers and the International Interior Design Association.
