College for Creative Studies

College for Creative Studies graduates students who fuse color, light, texture and balance to create new, interesting and distinct interior environments. Using skills developed and refined at CCS, these students meet the challenge of reinventing or creating a space, transforming it into a comfortable, functional, and aesthetically pleasing interior environment. In order to foment these skills in its students, College for Creative Studies offers courses diverse as Architectural Drawing and Detailing, Psychology/Human Factors, 3D Modeling and Animation, and Laws, Codes and Standards. Because CCS believes that contact with the industry and its professionals is also fundamental to allow students to develop career goals and explore career possibilities, students are required to participate in internships their junior and senior years. Additionally, students develop industry connections and first-hand experiences through organized trips to Chicago and New York and exposure to the local designers and architects who are brought in during midterms to offer authentic, practical critiques.
