Eastern Michigan University offers Interior Design Programs for Bachelor's, Master's and Doctoral Students who are committed to creating environmentally friendly interior spaces which enhance the quality of life for everyone who accesses them. This program is committed to fomenting an atmosphere of inclusion, creativity and academic excellence for its students while promoting excellence in education and offering a variety of educational opportunities. The Interior Design program is situated in the Sill and Roosevelt Halls within the School of Engineering. In line with the scientific backdrop in which the Interior Design Program is situated, EMU's program emphasizes a critical, analytical, and structured approach to design while at the same time encouraging creative thinking and problem-solving skills to develop evidence-based designs. Students develop their designs methodically, using research methods, environmentally friendly techniques and universal design principles in order to confront the challenge presented by a society and culture which are in constant flux.
