Western Michigan University

Western Michigan University's Interior Design program, accredited by the National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ), enjoys great popularity among incoming freshmen and transfer students, and because course space is limited, the university has created two separate acceptance tracks to ensure that applications to the program are highly motivated and possess the necessary credentials for the program. Students are admitted into a pre-Interior Design program, and based on their progress in those course, can go on to advanced courses. After the fourth semester, students submit portfolios for review and based on that review, are selected for upper-level studio courses.
