Salem College
Salem's Art Department prides itself on the close-knit community of students and professors. Students can choose from three comprehensive majors: studio art, art history, and interior design. Classes usually have 30 or fewer students, and upper-level courses usually range between five and ten participants. Possible courses to choose from are: Ancient Art, Women in Art, Modern Art, Asian Art, Sculpture, Advanced Printmaking, Advanced Painting, Textiles, History of Interior Design, and Buddhist Influence on Western Culture.
