Columbus College of Art and Design
At Columbus College of Art and Design, students of interior design focus their energies on creating harmonious environments for living, working, and playing. CCAD students learn how to design a space that fulfills the functional requirements of a room or building and draws out a positive reaction from its occupants. Faculty members have ample experience in the interior design industry and emphasize the process of design, critical thinking, and career preparation. With that in mind, students are encouraged to enter competitions and seek out real-world experiences to complement studio projects. Students learn to use renderings, computer modeling and three-dimensional modeling to communicate their ideas visually. Graduates go on to work in residential, institutional or commercial design either as freelance designers or with firms. CCAD's interior design program has been accredited by the Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA).
