Through the Home Interiors Certificate Program, students at Pennsylvania College of Art and Design gain the fundamental principles and skills of design to make rooms come alive. Under the tutelage of working architecture and design professionals, students learn to combine form and function to transform rooms into stimulating spaces that make the most of space and enhance lifestyle. The certificate program teaches the following: drawing floor plans; selecting fabrics and accessories; ordering furniture; designing window treatments; design lighting; and choosing architectural details. Small class sizes allow students to have personalized contact with professors, and excursions to design-related local businesses are an added benefit. Additionally, students have the convenient option of evening and weekend courses, and are able to complete the course in three or four semesters.
