Watkins College of Art and Design
At Watkins College of Art and Design, interior design students have the opportunity to pursue a B.F.A. in Interior Design or an A.F.A. The B.F.A., accredited by the Council for Interior Design Accreditation, focuses on expanding knowledge of human factors and building codes, along with aesthetics, so that students will become proficient problem solvers with the parameters of social needs, budgets, materials, and physical limitations of the space. Fine arts courses are integrated with technology to provide a complete education. A student's studies culminate in a capstone Thesis Project, which shows expertise in a specific field of interest and an integration of creativity and technical skills.
