Collin County Community College District

Collin County Community College District offers programs in interior design, including an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) and an Interior and Architectural Design Certificate Marketable Skills Achievement Award (MSAA). Students are grounded in concepts of spatial design and hone their skills in drafting, spatial composition, building codes, space planning, and materials. They can opt for further study in architecture, interior design, or illustration, through a series of electives. Most importantly, students gain skills, like CAD drafting and modeling, that allow them to be immediately effective in the workplace. Because interior and architectural design are state-licensed professions, students must meet state requirements before using such titles. Accredited degrees are offered at four nearby institutions: UNT, UTA, El Centro College, and TCU.
