Weber State University
Weber State University prides itself on its interior design students who have successfully competed in national interior design competitions, like the National Kitchen & Bath Student Competition, the Student Career Forum Rug Competition, and the International Interior Design Association Edible Chair Competition, in additional to portfolio reviews. WSU's interior design degree has been endorsed by the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA), and offers students two degree possibilities: a Bachelor's Degree and an Associate's Degree. The bachelor's degree trains students for employment in residential and commercial design and architecture firms. Students can opt to specialize in residential, kitchen and bath, health and medical, hospitality, corporate space or retail design, or work as a product representative for design companies. Students who prefer to work as assistant designers, especially in wholesale showrooms, retail, and kitchen and bath, choose the Associate's degree. This track also prepares students to take the Certified Kitchen Designer (CKD) exam. WSU students take part in field trips, community projects, and professional organizations.
