Mount Mary College
With continuous accreditation by the Council for Interior Design Accreditation (formerly FIDER) since 1986, Mount Mary's interior design program speaks for itself. The program is noted nationwide for its high standards and outstanding opportunities for community involvement, networking, and practical experience. To illustrate this point, a number of student projects are in fact related to real clients. Faculty members imbue the classroom with their caring attitudes, professional knowledge, and in-depth educational backgrounds. The program has strong ties to the Southeast Wisconsin community and uses this network to place students in internships that best match their interests. The department also organizes field trips to observe interior design in action and guest lecturers and jurors who give students another taste of the real world. Students are encouraged to take part in the ASID student chapter.
