Baker Institute of Design offers two degree programs: an Associate of Applied Science and a Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design. The associate program is designed for students seeking entry-level positions in interior design and provides students with a solid foundation if they should choose to further their studies in the field. The program focuses on developing basic presentation and drawing skills while introducing students to the fundamental concepts of interior design. As part of the associate program, students create and develop individual projects using the most up-to-date technology. The Bachelor of Interior Design program emphasizes design in commercial environments. In this program, students work with professionals in the industry to hone creative, technical and business skills while applying problem solving and critical thinking techniques to design interior spaces which maximize function, efficiency, and aesthetics. Students also study building codes and regulation and best business practices to maximize safety and quality. Throughout the program, students have the opportunity to develop a professional portfolio to display the skill and innovation they have cultivated at Baker Institute of Design.
