Instructors in the Interior Design Department at Fullerton College bring their industry expertise and affiliations to the classroom in order to prepare their students for successful careers in the field of interior design. The ample offering of design classes, ranging from specialized technical skills and profession-specific practical content to the broad cultural aspects of design, is based on the idea that students should be free to explore creatively while learning about design concepts. Upon completion of their studies, students have acquired the necessary concepts and specialized skills through the study of theory and hands-on practice to obtain entry-level positions in Residential and Commercial Design, such as kitchen consultant, lighting consultant, color consultant, space planner, design assistant, sales representative, and furniture sales.
