High Point University

At High Point University, interior design students make the most of the cutting edge studio space, CAD labs, and exhibition areas of Norton Hall, all the while being in close proximity to the world’s largest home furniture market. Myriad opportunities for internships, part-time work, and field trips make this location ideal for students who plan to pursue a career in interior design. The program trains students for numerous design positions, either in retail or with manufacturers, or for independent practice. To complement the thorough training in interior design, majors also study business and home furnishings marketing. Courses include: History of Furnishings, Interior Design Principles, Drafting, Auto-cad, Textiles, Residential and Contract Design, and Senior Seminar in Interior Design.
