Kaplan Career Institute

The Kaplan Career Institute is a branch of the Kaplan Higher Education Campuses and offers an accelerated Associate's degree in Digital Arts. The program offers a combination of fine arts courses with general education classes in communications, marketing, art history, and psychology. The goal of the program is to allow students to master popular and cutting edge graphics and animation software. The program offers and integrates lectures in the classroom, field trips to local employers and workplaces, and hands-on training.

There are four main areas emphasized at the college including pre-press and design, multimedia production, web design and site development, and three-dimensional design. Prior to graduation, students are required to undergo an externship in the Harrisburg community. Students are able to gain hands-on working experience in the digital arts industry.

Kaplan financial aid programs are available to assist students with affording their college courses. There are admission representatives and financial aid experts available to provide information on which scholarships, grants, and loans are best suited to each student. Academic advising is also available and advisors direct students on which courses to take when.

Kaplan Career Institute has a career services department that is available to its students and alumni. Assistance includes resumes, job applications, employment search strategies, interviewing techniques, references, and cover letter writing. Career advising as well as academic counseling is also available. Whether a student is just entering their career or undergoing a job transfer, career services are available to them.
