Kaplan University offers a wide variety of degrees and services to students in a face-to-face campus environment or online. Kaplan has 10 campuses spread around the U.S. to serve their student population. Online degrees serve thousands of students from around the country and world.


Kaplan degrees are available in a variety of disciplines such as business, allied health, criminal justice, information technology, and graphic design. The graphic design associate's degree is offered on the Kaplan campus in Hagerstown, MD. The program curriculum is a combination of general education, graphic design, and elective courses. Upon completion of the graphic design degree, students will be able to compete for entry-level jobs in the graphic design field. Graphic design skills learned are marketing and advertising, presentation skills, typography, color, and design layout, web design and animation, and design business management. Throughout the program students will compile completed work to put into a portfolio they can use to market themselves for potential jobs in advertising, television, marketing, journalism, illustration, web design, multimedia, and other industries.

Curriculum is career based and knowledge gained can be directly applied to future employment positions. The graphic design program culminates in an externship where students can put their new-found knowledge to the test.

Student services are also offered at Kaplan College. Financial aid counseling is available for students to receive guidance on how to finance their education. Financial aid is available in the form of loans and grants. Merit and non-merit based scholarships are available as well. For students who need additional assistance in classes there is tutoring. Students with disabilities can receive learning accommodations to assist them with specific learning disabilities.

For students who wish to receive assistance with academic planning there are academic advisors who assist students with course selection and academic planning.
