Interactive and Multimedia Technologies play an important role in today's communications industry as well as applications in business, education, entertainment, and telecommunications. Designing and producing effective presentations which combine graphics, text, sound, music, video and animation requires an imaginative blend of art, science, technology, and communications skills. The Interactive and Multimedia Technologies program prepares students to undertake professional practice upon completion, or to undertake advanced studies at the university level. It offers students professional, hands-on instruction. Career opportunities include the following: authoring and scripting, film and video animation, computer animation, multimedia and video art, audio and video editing, graphic design, interface design, CD-ROM title development, game development, instructional design, training, media coordination, corporate communications, marketing and sales.
