Multimedia artists bring entertainment to life through the Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Communication (BFA) with a concentration in Multimedia. Special effects that you see in the media and computer games are created on computers. Some others are involved with the drawing of storyboards for television movies, commercials and animated features.

AIU offers a BFA in Visual Communication with a specialization in Multimedia that will train students to develop their creative and professional talents to become successful multimedia artists. Students will learn through theory, practice, and team exercises that help them develop skills and knowledge that will help them to become successful.

Students who wish to develop their artistic and imaginative abilities can join the Visual Communication program at AIU to pursue a career in commercial design and art. The development of thinking process and the ability to creatively solve design problems, are emphasized in this program. In a creative and unique manner, the students shall learn the principles, practical applications, technologies, and methodologies used in solving complex design problems.

Challenging, relevant coursework:

The BFA in Visual Communication, with a focus on Multimedia, features industry-relevant coursework instructed by faculty members who have real-world experience in the field. Students learn how to create web animations, use digital special effects techniques, create storyboards, and edit sound and video.

The aim of this program is to develop student's aptitude to conceive and execute, by making use of a variety of media, concrete and articulate design solutions as well as put to use the current software and technology to create digital compositions, with the application of color theory and graphic design principles. Students will be able to produce interactive projects that show how navigational and organizational methodologies work. In order to address the issues raised by the Digital Design Industry, you must apply project management and teamwork skills. Presentation and critical thinking are ways to develop skills for effective oral and written communication. The student should include existing pieces in the professional portfolio but make sure they are refined.

Animation, Advanced Multimedia, Storyboarding & Scripting, and Sound & Video Editing are some of the concentration courses included in this program.
