Training is structured into four mutually supporting and equally important endeavors:

New Praxis comprises courses in critique and classes that offer both practical training, as well as the significant exchange of ideas, to allow students to pursue their individual objectives in the arts.

Studies include foundational seminars which permit students to study an array of methodologies and approaches in Digital Arts. Constructing specific timelines and theories, students are engaged in multiple dialogues where theory and practice intersect. These courses assist in developing the required thesis project paper.

Collaborative Research involves faculty and students working together in their research to publish and exhibit a collaborative work in one of four potential research-focused areas: participatory culture, performing technologies, playable media and mechatronics (the combination of mechanical, electronic, and computer engineering).

Pedagogy, which is defined as the art of being a teacher, awards students with teacher assistant's internships to support them in their roles and provide opportunity to garner hands-on experience in faculty workshops.

Upon completion of 19 hours of coursework, coupled with research projects and internships, students are given a Bridging Disciplines Programs (BDP) certificate in Digital Arts and Media.
