The main focus of television broadcasting programs is to teach students how to run the studio and produce the items run on-air. They take classes in script writing, television or radio production and audio recording. Throughout their program of study, they also learn the basics of working with their talent and creating a final broadcast.

Students studying in a television broadcasting program have a host of job opportunities for the future. Students go onto work in the television world as an on-air personality such as a broadcaster or newscaster. They also work behind the scenes as a producer, director or sound recorder. Finding a job is challenging and fun, because the students also produce a final reel during their last year, which they can use as an audition tape in the future.
