The online auctioneer artnet is offering unique prints showcasing the work of some of the greatest artists of the 20th century.
The special sale features limited edition prints by 40 artists including Pablo Picasso, March Chagall, Roy Lichtenstein and others, and is divided into three categories: Pop Art, Contemporary Art and Modern European.
"This auction offers collectors the opportunity to acquire works by some of the most important artists of the 20th-21st century" says Hans Neuendorf, CEO of artnet Worldwide. "We are delighted to offer such an exciting range of prints."
Some of the highlights include twenty works by Andy Warhol from the 1950s through the 1980s, including four 1968 screenprints from his Death and Disaster series. One print in this group is Flash - November 22, 1963 (Jackie), which depicts Jackie Kennedy on the day of President John F. Kennedy''s assassination.
The sale also celebrates Roy Lichtenstein with eight prints from 1974-1996, including Virtual Interior: Portrait of a Duck (BAT) from 1995.
artnet consists of a network of 2,200 galleries which enables collectors to view the works available on the market at all times and has been an online portal for the international art market since 1995.
The website registers an average of 2 million individual visitors per month.
