Intimates and shapewear designer Triumph International has announced a call for entries for its third annual lingerie design competition.
Competitors from across the globe will be challenged to create original clothing based on the theme Shape Sensation. In celebration of this subject, the clothier will accept one-piece entries in addition to traditional two-piece, bra-and-brief sets.
After a series of regional contests, a total of 29 finalists will be selected to attend London Fashion Week in September. At the event, the international champion will be chosen by a panel of judges based on the inspiration and originality of their design. Past panel members include Helena Christensen, Hilary Swank and Vogue Italia editor-in-chief Franca Sozzani.
The grand prize winner will receive approximately $11,100 and have their creation sold as a limited-edition product at Triumph's main stores and select outlet locations. Second- and third-place winners will receive $7,604 and 3,700, respectively.
Suzanne McKenna, Triumph's global brand manager, said the contest is intended to foster the creation of "lingerie that brings out the best in [women] while praising and encouraging their uniqueness."
