Visitors to Israel will now have another stop to add to their itineraries, as the recently opened Design Museum of Holon has already earned the praises of critics from across the globe.

ABC News reports that the museum - which opened its doors to the public in January - has already received the Conde Nast Traveller Innovation and Design Award.

The building was designed by internationally acclaimed Israeli architect Ron Arad and features a spiraling structure that is intended to mimic the movement of ribbons, according to the news source.

State of Things: Design in the 21st Century, the museum's first exhibit, is currently open to the public. The showcase features products that serve as examples of the consumption and impact of international design over the past 100 years.

According to the museum's website, items included in the exhibit range from household appliances to life-saving technologies, and are divided between eight categories: New Essentialism, Mutant Remix, Of the Body, Social Anxiety, Super Beauty, Craft Economy and Design Lab. The exhibit opened on March 4 and will run through May 15.
