Video game giant Nintendo has released its latest chapter in the WarioWare series, an interactive game that enables players to act as game designers.
USA Today reports that WarioWare D.I.Y. - which was released on March 28 for the Nintendo DS platform - allows players to take the villainous anti-Mario through a series of challenges and microgames, some of which they can create themselves.
Gamers will spend a great deal of their time in the D.I.Y. Shop, where they will be able to try out several different game collections. These collections are divided into microgames, which are minimally challenging and typically require the player to tap the screen to complete simple tasks.
Players can also create their own microgames in the shop, as they will have control over elements such as artwork, animation, music and action instructions, according to the Nintendo website. Users can also create their own four-panel comic strips using the game.
While there are more than 90 pre-made games to play, individuals who have broadband access can go online to wirelessly download games that have been created by other users and upload their own creations.
